Aims and Scope

This journal is dedicated to publishing papers dealing with instrumentation design innovations (關於儀器設計方面創新) and applications in the areas of chemistry(化學), biotechnology (生物科技), and environmental science (環境科學…等應用). Particular attention is given to state-of-the-art developments and their rapid communication. Emphasis is on modern instrumentation concepts (現代儀器概念) including, though not exclusively(包含,不排除), detectors and sensors (感測器); signal processing (訊號處理); instrument control (儀器控制); data acquisition (資料擷取); real-time digital processing (即時數位訊號處理); software innovations (軟體創新); laboratory integration systems (實驗整合系統); chromatography (色層分析); spectroscopy (光譜學) and spectrometry of all types (各類型的分光儀); electrophoresis (電泳); radiometry (電磁波量測); relaxation methods (某種系統方面的數值方法); electrochemistry (電化學); physcial property measurements (物理特性量測); thermal analysis (熱學分析); surface analysis (表面分析); membrane technology (薄模科技); micro-computer-based designs and applications (微電腦基礎的設計與應用); advanced electronic circuitry (高等電子電路設計); robotics (機器人); LIMS (Laboratory information management system, 實驗室資訊管理系統).

Submission of Manuscripts

Authors are strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts on disk ( 3.5 in . or CD-ROM) (提供光碟). The disk should be prepared using MS Word or WordPerfect and should be clearly labeled with the authors' names, file name, and software program(檔案使用MS Word，光碟封面標明作者姓名、檔案名稱與軟體名稱). Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere and that it has not been submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources and are required to sign an agreement for the transfer of copyright to the publisher(提供Copyright且無同時投稿到其他期刊). All accepted manuscripts, artwork, and photographs become the property of the publisher.

All parts of the manuscript should be typewritten(打字), double-spaced(兩倍行高), with margins of at least one inch on all sides(邊界至少一英吋). Number manuscript pages consecutively throughout the paper(頁碼). Authors should also supply a shortened version of the title suitable for the running head, not exceeding 50 character spaces(短title，少於50個字元). Each article should be summarized in an abstract of not more than 100 words(摘要不少於100個字). Avoid abbreviations, diagrams, and reference to the text(避免專用名詞、圖片、引用文獻). Six keywords should be provided (提供6個Keywords).

References

Please cite references in the text by number only enclosed in parentheses. At the end of the article, list the references in the order they appear in the text. Footnotes should be included in the list of references. Examples:

Illustrations

Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.) should be clean originals or digital files (提供電子檔). Digital files are recommended for highest quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines: (電子檔建議使用最高解析度)

Color illustrations will be considered for publication; however, the author will be required to bear the full cost involved in their printing and publication. The charge for the first page with color is $900.00. The next three pages with color are $450.00 each. A custom quote will be provided for color art totaling more than 4 journal pages. Good-quality color prints should be provided in their final size. The publisher has the right to refuse publication of color prints deemed unacceptable. (彩色圖片要加錢)

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures (illustrations) should not be embedded in the text (表格、圖片勿包含在本文中), but should be included as separate sheets or files (必須存放在個別檔案). A short descriptive title should appear above each table with a clear legend and any footnotes suitably identified below. All units must be included. Figures should be completely labeled, taking into account necessary size reduction. Captions should be typed, double-spaced, on a separate sheet. All original figures should be clearly marked in pencil on the reverse side with the number, author's name, and top edge indicated.

Proofs

Page proofs are sent to the designated author using Taylor & Francis' EProof system. They must be carefully checked and returned within 48 hours of receipt.

Offprints/Reprints

The corresponding author of each article will receive one complete copy of the issue in which the article appears. Offprints of an individual article may be ordered from Taylor & Francis. Use the offprint order form included with page proofs. Up to 10 additional issue copies may also be ordered. If offprints are not ordered by the required date, reprint pricing goes into effect, and issue copies may not be ordered.
